THHN has offered Camp Quality UK participants and their families a chance to go away and connect as a family unit again. The families that have been away on these holidays have come back feeling enegergised and ready to face whatever life might throw at them again in a more unified and relaxed way. Whilst away they have been welcomed, made to feel like they are normal and just have lots of fun.

Anne, Alison, Mandy and Faye would like to thank the all of the people and organisations involved with the Torbay Holiday Helper’s Network for providing the opportunity for our families to have a much needed holiday. The fantastic additional treats provided too are just wonderful. The benefit they gain from taking a break away from home and treatment cannot be measured in words. Thank you so much. With our very best wishes, CLIC Sargent Team Leicester Royal Infirmary

The THHN scheme has allowed us to be able to offer something wonderful to families from all over the UK who are going through some desperate times. Having a child with cancer is devastating and treatment can last for years. Not only is there the worry of having a very poorly child but the pressures of treatment and the illness can mean that parents may have to give up work so face a loss of income that can impact on a family for a long time. The chance to have such a fabulous holiday and be 'normal' for a few days means the world to these families. Sadly, for some, this may be the last break that they spend together and the memories they have of these happy times help them greatly in the bleak times ahead. I can't thank Luke and all of the THHN supporters enough for making a real difference to so many of our families. Rachael Olley NACCPO

The THHN is an amazing network which has enabled many PASIC families to enjoy some precious time together away from the pressures of cancer treatment, hospital life or even some respite after a bereavement. Each and every member of the network should feel proud of their achievements. Bea Brunton PASIC Coordinator Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham

The wonderful thing about THHN holidays is that families can usually book them at short notice, which really helps when their child’s health needs are unpredictable. Families really appreciate the kindness from all the providers involved, including hotel staff, amusement providers and hampers in the self catering accommodation. Its so lovely to feel that you can still go on holiday, even if your life is unpredictable, and you can’t afford to go anywhere, and then find that there is such kindness from THHN, giving welcome respite from challenging times. I am very happy, as a Cruse Volunteer, to recommend your charity to as many people as possible. My Cruse client is absolutely thrilled to be going away to one of your hotels in August for a very welcome week's holiday with her daughter and nephew. Before this she was very depressed and had nothing to look forward to. Now she has a new lease of life and is looking for ward to this holiday. Thank you very much for arranging this. Alison Peters

The support given to our families by the Torbay Holiday Helpers Network has been invaluable. Our families that have taken holidays with you have been enormously grateful and overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown to them by you and your supporters in, what for them, has been very difficult times. It has given them a much needed break from the hardship of caring for a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. I am amazed that you have achieved so much in such a short time and would encourage you to continue and grow and show others what can be achieved from an idea and a wish to give something to others that need a little help and support. I would like to thank both Luke Tillen and the THHN team for the work that you do - you have been extremely responsive to all the enquiries and requests that I have made and have been able to offer much needed respite to the families that I work with and the fact that you are so local to the area in which I work has meant that families whose children are on active treatment are still able to have a break knowing that they remain close enough to their hospital should their child become unwell. Thank you so much. Kind regards Kim Kim Gill CLIC Sargent Social Worker Cornwall

We are grateful for the opportunity for the families of children suffering from cancer in South Wales to take a holiday in Torquay. It gives families who are under enormous pressure something to look forward to. Many of our families suffer great financial hardship when their children are ill, as they have to give up work to care for them. Having the chance to take a free holiday and get away from it all makes an enormous difference to them. LATCH, Children's Hospital for Wales, Cardiff
