HOW CAN I APPLY FOR A HOLIDAY?
Holidays are only awarded to families who have children with life threatening/limiting conditions or who are recently bereaved. You can not apply for a holiday yourself all holiday applications must be made by a charity support worker, social worker or NHS medical professional such as a GP or consultant.
WHAT KIND OF HOLIDAYS DO YOU OFFER?
We offer a wide range of holidays from half board hotel breaks, B&B breaks, luxury self catering holiday apartments or cottages and caravan holidays. You can see a full list of accommodation providers on our supporters page.
WHO CAN COME ON THE HOLIDAY?
Holidays are intended for immediate family members only however, single parent families may bring another family member, carer or friend to help. Grandparents may be able to come in larger self catering establishments however this is strictly at the accommodation providers discretion.
IF A CHILD HAS A TERMINALLY ILL PARENT WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO OFFER A HOLIDAY?
We may well be able to help so please ask a charity support worker, NHS medical professional or social worker to contact us with details and we will do our best to assist.
CAN I CONTACT THE ACCOMMODATION PROVIDER DIRECT?
No all contact and questions must be made directly through the THHN at all times!
WILL WE GET FREE ENTRY AND SERVICES FROM ALL OF YOUR SUPPORTERS WHILST ON OUR THHN HOLIDAY?
No each individual holiday is different depending soley on the services donated to the THHN at the time of your holiday. You will be given a welcome pack on your first day which will explain in detail exactly what services and experiences will be on offer to you free of charge.
WE HAVE BEEN AWARDED A SELF CATERING THHN HOLIDAY ARE WE PROVIDED WITH FOOD?
We always endeavour to supply our self catering holidays with complimentary food hampers from butchers, fish delicatessen, grocery and bakers. This is not always possible but if you contact us one week before your holiday we will be able to let you know who will be supplying you. We will always try to secure you at least one complimentary meal out in a local restaurant too.
OUR THHN HOLIDAY IS STAYING OUTSIDE OF DEVON WILL WE STILL GET ALL THE SAME BENEFITS?
Unfortunately not at the moment, if your holiday is self catering in Cornwall we will be able to get some food hampers but the network is still growing and the majority of our supporters are Devon based, but we are hoping over the coming years to be able to offer the same benefits.
