The cave’s most important find is a human jawbone dated at37,000 years old and currently the oldest human fossil inEurope.

The caves are open everyday for guided tours and theattraction comes highly recommended after it was awardedthe 2008 best large attraction in South West England.During the summer you can enjoy the evening scare show inthe caves but this is definitely not for the fainthearted! Thiscomes with a great value all-you-can-eat dinner making it agreat evening out.

There lots for the kids to do with a fun dig, cave painting wall and a Stone Agewoodland trail. Facilities included an excellent restaurant serving great valueregional specialities, prettygardens and all set overlookingthe Ilsham Valley.
